Oh Happy Days!

Mr. Gardiner has just informed us that the marriage has been settled! Mr. Gardiner has paid off Wickham's debts and my beautiful Lydia will be getting married. FINALLY! one of my daughters will be wed with one of the most handsome men in all of London. I can hardly contain myself! To have her only being married at sixteen is such an accomplishment. How ever so kind of my brother. He has done so much for this family, for it is better to have Lydia married than not being married at all. If that was the case, our family reputation would be ruined. Mrs. Wickham---how lovely it sounds!

  1. Mrs. Bennet this is not a good thing for Lydia to marry Wickham. He is a evil man who only marries for money not love. Please do not let her marry him! It is a terrible mistake.

  2. Mother, you are truly an embarassing disgrace to me. Mr. Wickham doesn't even deserve all of the stupidity Lydia has to offer. Do you not see that he does not love her, and only cares about the money in it for him? And stop acting like Mr. Gardiner is the king, for he is not the one to thank.

  3. I REALLY don't think Lydia should be marrying Wickham. She is rushing into things just because she wants a husband. Listen to Mr. Darcy on this one....
