Criticism
Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy visited today to catch up on our family and what they have missed. I almost forgot what such a gentleman Mr. Bingley is, and I have almost forgiven him for what he did to Jane because it was all Mr. Darcy's fault. Mr. Bingley enjoyed my bragging about Lydia, and I could see he still had some affection for Jane. I do admit I was a bit rude to Mr. Darcy, but how could I not be? He ruined a marriage that would have been perfect, and Jane is so beautiful, so I don't know why he would do that. I seemed to have embarrassed Lizzy and I could not quite tell why, for she doesn't like Mr. Darcy. Or does she? Hmmmmm...

I want to thank you mother for confirming my thoughts regarding Mr. Bingley's want for me. I also felt that he may still like me, for I still like him quite a lot. But, I do think that it is time for you to get over the act that Darcy committed. It was a while ago, and it is time for you to move on. Lydia is already married; I believe that you have more than you could ever want at this time in your life, and it is time for you to relax.
ReplyDeleteOh, mother. Why must you be so embarrassing? I mean, you couldn't shut your mouth for more than a few seconds. You have no idea how much more of a man Darcy is compared to Wickham. I swear, as soon as you're of age, I'm putting you in a home.
ReplyDeleteIt is my fault for splitting up Jane and Bingely but for good intentions. I am so sorry for it as well. But I did pay for your daughters wedding so you should not be so cruel to me. Also I love your daughter, Lizzy< very much.
ReplyDeleteYou know it is weird mother for when Mr. Bingley arrived it was as though he still had some sort of affection toward me. I have also seen the same thing you have in our Elizabeth. When Lydia was talking about about her wedding and mentioned Darcy Elizabeth then seemed completely interested. We will just have to see how Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy will act upon their emotions.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for the compliment. I always enjoy visting the Bennets when I am in Netherfield. I hope I am welcome because I will drop by every time I am in town. It is always great to catch up on old times and to see all the girls. I hope you can forgive Mr. Darcy for what he did. He was wrong, but he is a good man and I hope you see that.
ReplyDeleteThe reason I am so rude when I visit Hertfordshire, is because I dislike you so much. The last time I visited, I knew no one, so I remained with my party. This time, however, I dreaded coming across you and your simplistic worries. You are the main reason I sometimes question my proposal to Elizabeth! If you only knew how much I have done to help your family, you would never act so rudely towards me.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you won't be so rude to Mr. Darcy next time. He may have done our family a great service that we will never know about. I hope you are correct and Bingley still has feelings for me. I'm not going to get my hopes up though; I promised myself that I was over him. I may have been wrong.
ReplyDeleteOh mother, I am so glad you have taken a second look at Mr. Bingley for me! I do like him so much and I refuse for my heart to be broken again. It would mean so much to me if Mr. Bingley and the family all got along together! I wouldn't wish for another Lydia incident on my worst enemy. Mother, how happy I am!
ReplyDeleteThank you oh so much Mrs. Bennet! It was such a great time coming over to your house. All of your daughters look healthy and beautiful! I am sorry that your husband thinks negatively of me. And I do apologize for Darcy, he is a little rude at times.
ReplyDeleteYou obviously have not been keeping up on the gossip, for her and Darcy have been having a flirty relationship for quite some time now. However, she has been worrying because of the situation with Lydia and how it will affect her relationship with Darcy. If you really want to get your daughters married, I would have considered locking up that mischievous daughter so that she could not ruin the chances of the others.
ReplyDeleteMother, Thankyou for being so kind to me. Bingley was a pleasure to have at our home. You must be more kind to Mr. Darcy, you never know what his reasons are. He seems very smart, so i wouldn't judge so quickly..
